Dear Health Educator or Counselor,
I am very excited to introduce a newly developed company offering innovative
and powerful educational and preventive programs on health
topics that significantly influence teens, youth, and young adults.
Topics include body image and eating disorders such as anorexia and
bulimia, comprehensive teen sex education, alcohol and drug education
/ prevention, depression, and suicide prevention. In-depth descriptions
of all programs are enclosed. The content of these programs are specifically
designed to reach middle school, high school, and college-age students. "Beyond the Image" and "What’s Love Got to do with It" also discuss in length media influences on these issues. The DVDs are
programs in and of themselves, combining powerful thought provoking
screens with interactive questions and/or study guides for insight
development and discussion processing.
As a counselor who has worked for the past fifteen years developing
and using various programs for education and prevention, I can say
these are EXTREMELY worth the minimal expense. After showing these
programs, I have had many students come forward with concerns
related to these issues and their effects. I believe it has positively
impacted some of the very serious, life effecting decisions they
have or will make.
The programs were created via I-Mac with the assistance of Media
Services Specialists. The suicide education and prevention program
is a fairly complicated multi-media interactive powerpoint that combines
45 slides with music and video clips. Because I am a counselor and
not a professional producer, the programs are offered at a price
much smaller than most media production companies. As it is much
too costly to send out demo videos to all of you, I am willing to
provide refunds (less S & H,
within 30 days of purchase) to those not satisfied with the programs.
I sincerely hope these programs will have a similar effect on the students you work with. I strongly believe they have the potential of influencing students to critically think about the consequences of these difficult choices as they face them and encourage positive decision making.
Order forms are attached.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.
